STDs are diseases that mostly affect those people who have unprotected sexual relations with one or more partners. The symptoms of gonorrhea usually take time to appear especially for men hence it might be a bit challenging for them to know whether they are infected or not. Green, white or yellow pus, having a burning sensation when urinating and sores are some of the common symptoms of gonorrhea. When it comes to women, they may start developing the symptoms maybe two or five days after being infected. In order to test for the severity and presence of this disease, one should go for a test.

The reason as to why chlamydia is known as a silent infection is because one might not notice that they are infected until later on. It takes a couple of weeks after one is affected for the symptoms to appear. Some of the symptoms include lower abdominal pain, painful periods, painful urination, smelly discharge among others. Going for an STD test on a regular basis will help you know whether you are infected or not.

As much as seeing multiple partners isn’t wrong, one should be very careful as it takes a toll on one’s health. Using protection is the safest way to avoid getting infected at any cost.
